For 2023, Toyota added two appearance packages to the SR5 trim, which were previously only available on higher trims. The SX package brings black over fenders, black wheels and lug nuts, and more black trim. The Chrome package is only available on the Double Cab variant of the SR5 and adds polished wheels, chrome door handles, exhaust tips, and more. On the inside, SR5 variants now avail themselves of Toyota’s Smart Key and power driver seat. All V6 models now come with dual-zone climate control.

Interior Review of the 2023 Toyota Tacoma
The 2023 Toyota Tacoma can seat up to four adults in the Access Cab variant and five adults in the Double Cab variant. Every V6 variant now enjoys dual-zone climate control. Trim levels from SR5 upwards receive a power-adjustable driver's seat and Toyota's smart key. The Limited trim also receives a 360-degree camera system and an 8-inch touch-screen infotainment system.

Power and Performance of the 2023 Toyota Tacoma
The 2023 Toyota Tacoma range comes with two engine options on the SR and SR5 variants. The base option is a 2.7-liter in-line four-cylinder with 159 horsepower and 180 pound-feet of torque. A six-speed automatic transmission is standard. The second option for SR and SR5 variants is a 3.5-liter V6 that puts out 278 horsepower and 265 pound-feet of torque. This powerplant is the sole option for trim levels above SR5.
The transmission remains a six-speed automatic, but you can option a six-speed manual on the TRD Off Road and TRD Pro trims. Drive options across the range are rear-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive. The 2023 Tacoma offers a towing capacity of up to 6,800 pounds and a payload capacity of up to 1,685 pounds, depending on trim and specification. Bilstein® or FOX® shocks and the multi-terrain selector on TRD trim levels enable enhanced off-road progress.
